Nuriia Khasenova is a flutist and performer working between classical music and transdisciplinary performance. Raised in a family of musicians, she began her musical education at the age of four and later studied in Geneva and Zurich, where she completed Master’s degrees in Music Performance and Music Pedagogy.

She is a co-founder of Kollektiv International Totem (KIT).

Her work brings together sound, text, movement, and improvisation, exploring how personal experiences relate to broader contemporary contexts. Drawing on everyday life — sometimes with humour, sometimes with a sense of melancholy — she creates performances that invite reflection and open interpretation.

Based in Biel, she is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Music and Movement at the Hochschule der Künste Bern.

Between One and Many - Winner of Nicati Competition/ Open Space 2025
Drawing from Pirandello’s exploration of fragmented identity, "Between One and Many" stages the absurdity of selfhood in an age where the self is constantly performed, consumed, and repackaged.
